  2. Al: I met you soon after my own Father went to be with the Lord, and although he could never be replaced, you soon filled that void. You accepted me into your family and were the best Father-In-Law anyone could hope for. I admired and respected you greatly, most importantly for your love for your family. You will always be loved and remembered, and I am blessed to have been a part of your family. Now when I look towards heaven I will see both you and my Dad. Love you, Susie

  3. Alfred Soto was a special man. I will always be grateful to him for sharing a phase of his life with me. He was the closest to the PERFECT man that I believe I have met. He served his country in the U.S.Navy. And fought and survived one of the most important wars, McArthur’s return to the Philippines and he Battle of Sumar that erupted soon after the landing of McArthur. He was a husband that up held the vows of marriage, “till death do us part” married to a wonderful woman, Mary Louise for 64 years. he was an outstanding father, grandfather and great grandfather. As a father he was tough when he needed to be and gentle when needed. If his children were hospitalized he didn’t leave their bed side. As a grandfather he formed a relationship with his grandchildren where they would do anything for him no matter if they had to travel over 100 miles to reach him. And just like he was there for his children and grandchildren. He was there for his great grandchildren. He provided a wonderful life for his four children John, Ernest, Rachel and Arthur. Always a hard worker until he retired at age 58. The Mentor they has in him made them the responsible adults they are today. Alfred knew how to trat people. When I first met him, he accepted me with open arms. He always greeted me with a smile. The one thing I will miss and when I think of it, it brings a pain to my heart and a tear to my eye, is when he would say, “You”re looking good.” He even instilled in me in a short time to be the best I could be. I will miss him greatly, but I now that one day I will once again be in his world. Alfred live pain free and happy til I see you again.

  4. Dad: Even though you’re gone from this physical life, I know you have entered into eternal life thourgh Jesus Christ, and you live on. I will miss you for the rest of my life and know that some day we will all be together again. There will be no more tears of sadness only happiness. Until we meet again . . . Love you Dad. As you would say “Over & Out”.

  5. Even though he was my Father “Smiles” cousin, he was Uncle Alfred to me. He was a sweet, caring, strong loving man. What a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather he is. I always enjoyed his phone calls. He called when my Mom passed away and was comforting. I will always remember his smile and gentle nature. Love and Blessings. Say Hi to my Pops in heaven. You will always be in my heart.

Now all we have is memories. And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake. With which we’ll never part. God has you in his keeping. We have you in our heart…

  9. My Dad how I miss you remembering the things that you did to show you cared. The sound of his voice. The wisdom he shared. A piece of advice you’ll never forget. The way that he lived examples he set. The hard work he put in to doing things well. The places he’d been. The stories he’d tell. His greatest success that he was so proud of his family. His hobbies, his passions, and his laughter and his love. When I think of my Dad with everything that made him the man he was. His memory lives on. Until we meet again your spirit and love will forever be in my heart.
