Doris McCauley

Born in New Milford, New Jersey, 90 years ago, Doris was the devoted daughter of loving parents Albert and Doris Graef.
In 1950, Doris married James Francis McCauley and began a lifelong journey together in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, resulting in two children; James A. and Dori Blanton; four grandchildren; Laurie Gray (Robert) of Richmond Virginia, Lisa King (John) of Bedford New Hampshire, Karen McCauley (Chris) and Cheryl McNally (David) both of Murrieta, California.
Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren; William and James Gray, Benjamin and Sierra King, Emily and Caitlyn Burrows, and Rylee and Jaden McNally.
Doris' entrepreneurial skills lead to the formation of The Fair Lawn Floral Shop, which she and her husband owned for many years. Doris also worked as an accounting secretary for the architectural firm, Burns and Roe, in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
Doris' creativity extended to needlepoint, knitting, quilting, cooking and community volunteer work in the local schools. However, her greatest love was for her family......GGma, as she was lovingly called by her 8 great-grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband James, daughter Dori, sister Marie and brother Albert.
We the family, wish to express our sincere gratitude to the loving staff at The Chateau At Harveston, Temecula, California, where she was a resident. Also, to the excellent personal care from Integrity Caregiving and heartfelt appreciation to Brandy and her supportive team at Paramount Hospice.
In a private memorial service, Doris' ashes will be spread in the oceans surrounding Maui, and also joining her deceased daughter, Dori, at the peak of Cannon Mountain, near her former residence of Merrimack, New Hampshire.
