Carlos Manuel Betancourt

Carlos Manuel Betancourt passed away on December 19, 2015 in San Diego, CA after a long illness. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Betancourt and he is survived by his mother, Maria Betancourt, his son, Jason Betancourt, his brother, two sisters, four nieces, two nephews, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. He was a master mechanic, who could fix anything with wheels on, a tinkerer that liked to take things apart just to see how they worked, he was a wanderer, who was most happiest on his motorcycle, feeling the wind in his hair, the sun on his face and having his freedom… He lived an extraordinary life living on the road in his younger years, traveling to almost every state in our great country. He was always in awe of natures’ beauty. He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and godfather who will be forever missed. May he rest in peace and be free of all pain and suffering. A Celebration of life will be held on January 15th 2016 at 1:00 pm at England Family Mortuary at, 27135 Madison St., Temecula, CA 92590 with a funeral reception to follow at his sisters’ home immediately after. All are encouraged to come and share your memories with his family.
