Celebrating the Life Story of Donna Marie Kidd Cox Place of Birth: Birmingham, Alabama Favorite Color: ?Yellow - the symbol of gold, radiance and diamond cut qualities. Employment: Hard Worker, Self-Employed/Independent with Industrious Creativity In 1981, Donna began working at Fluid Systems where she met the love of her life, Milton Cox. She continued to work there for the next 11 years before embarking on a new adventure in the Real Estate Industry. Her new-found profession began in new home sales with Kaufman and Broad Homes and several housing developments in Temecula, Winchester and Corona. Her niche and passion for home designs, sales, and marketing motivated this superb “Hospitality Hostess” to become a licensed Real Estate Agent. Donna was now ready to go to the next level and succeeded in “chasing houses” – in her own words. Her excellent customer service and naturally gifted marketing skills grew her clientele base, and in return, with their loyal commitment of referrals and as repeat customers, Donna Cox became an icon and Top Performer for Tarbell Realtors in Temecula Valley. With such success and popularity in the Temecula Valley, she became a well-known and sought after Real Estate Professional and role model for other aspiring agents and real estate brokerages in the field. She worked with several Real Estate offices and was encouraged to become an Independent Broker so she could better serve others. Not only did Donna have a passionate purpose for the Real Estate market, she was endowed with a gift for loving people and making connections that were influential, rewarding, fun and exciting. Gifted with the natural ability to design concepts and promote new ideas, Donna’s most prized gift was how she used her passionate personality to share with others, market products, promote sales and use her socializing expertise and skills - in whatever she set her mind to do. As an Arbonne Regional Vice-President, she was a shining star recipient. Her success with the company truly epitomized the saying “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”! Continuing to exercise her giftedness, as the Marketing Whiz Queen Donna recently achieved the Diamond Executive level for “It Works Global”, a multi-level marketing company providing a healthy lifestyle, along with nutrition and body wraps. This venture was also apropos for Donna. She is known for making things happen while having fun and expanding her social network and marketing levels. She thoroughly enjoyed making ‘skinny wraps work’ for her customers and colleagues. Favorite Vacation Spot: Spending time with Milton in Cambria was one of their favorite, pristine and private getaways. She loved traveling and some of their favorite places to visit included Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean Islands, and enjoying cruise excursions and vacations every year. Spending time at “The Cabin” was a therapeutic and refreshing getaway, too. Going 'home' to Alabama and visiting family in North Carolina were also a favorite family hotspot. She often frequented New York and enjoyed “shopping ‘til she dropped”. Whether she was in Manhattan or at a bargain discount store, Donna enjoyed plain ole fun shopping, as well as girlfriend getaways with a plethora of “best friends forever” BFF groups. Traveling with a purpose became the target for her when she began to visit Desiree who is attending school at St. John. She mastered the subway and enjoyed the adventures of New York, Washington, DC and any place she frequented. She was an adventurous traveler who could pack the perfect suitcase. She always returned home from her trips with new friends and fun memories that would last forever. Hobbies: She loved to capture and portray the special moments and people in her life by creating scrapbooks. She also loved visiting her neighborhood friends and playing Boggle with them. Her own ‘Home Sweet Home’ aroma displayed a place that was adorned by her character of love, warmth and meticulous arrangement of furnishings, paintings, and her unique designs. She inherited a love of watching cowboy movies and westerns from her mother, Mary. They both loved just sitting and watching their favorites for hours on end. Activities: She enjoyed life to its fullest and found time to engage in walking, running, yoga, and doing what she could to stay healthy and fit. She was a Sunday school teacher for elementary-age students, a church greeter, and she willingly helped in any other ministry where there was a need. She served on the yearbook committee at Linfield Christian School. They loved her so much that they asked her to be a member of staff, but due to her busy career she declined their generous offer; instead she became a carpool driver in addition to coordinating and supporting many projects to help out students, parents, and staff. She did all of this while attending to the needs of her own children’s school demands, Markus’ soccer activities and Desiree’s sports and love for horses. Volunteering was a unique gift that she offered to her church, the community, family, friends, colleagues and even strangers. Donna was “ready to the rescue” when she learned of a need. Donna Marie Cox was instrumental in helping a young cancer patient pursue his dream by coordinating with the Make a Wish Foundation, doing missionary work at the City of Children in Mexico, and serving with her servant’s heart and loving hands. She modeled spontaneous laughter and fun at all times. Imagine how she responded on live TV when she was selected as a game show contestant on “Let’s Make a Deal”! Dressed as Kitty Cat, she won $4,000 in cash that day. This was a momentous, indescribable, funny and exciting example of Donna’s bubbly personality being captured live. Donna’s life story is a Spiritual gift and Legacy of Faith that she leaves for her own children - to know God personally, embrace life, enjoy people and most of all, love and serve God at all times in home, church, and at work or play. Her home office Wall of Fame reads: Cherish Yesterday Live Today Dream Tomorrow The Model of a Virtuous Proverbs 31 Woman was she: “Charm is deceitful…Beauty is vain…But a woman who fears the Lord She shall be praised!” Donna’s Favorite Scriptures: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…Colossians 3:16 …For the Lord loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 …Love one another as I have loved you…John 13:34 If thou shall confess with thou mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. Romans 10:9 “My soul knoweth right well” – sums up this spirit-filled, vivacious, victorious Woman of Faith – who now rests in peace in the Arms of Jesus in Heaven – “fearfully and wonderfully”! Psalms 139:13-14

  7. To Donna’s family – I don’t know if there are ever any words that will comfort at a time such as this. But I hope one day you’ll believe these words. I met Donna about a year ago when my best friend Stephanie (Tolbert) came home to family birthday party. I met Donna again at Christmas time when you all invited me into your loving home. Donna received a special gift she wanted so badly – and I’ve never EVER seen a reaction like that from someone. Her gratefulness and excitement were contagious. I shared the story with friends and co-workers – it was so sweet and hilarious. It touched my heart to stir it to be a little more grateful for the things we receive. Donna’s spirit was immediately warm and inviting – and makes you feel at home when you meet her. I’ll never forget that; and I believe that her spirit of love will always remain on this earth. That it will be felt – especially upon her family from now until eternity. Dearly – (Monica Steward/Temecula, CA)

  8. You can make it now. The storm is over. I will always remember the hilarious times we had together, my dancing queen. God Bless You and Family-Lydia

  9. Your suffering is over my beautiful friend. I can see you now running through the streets of gold making friends with everyone you meet. But most of all sitting at the right hand of our Lord and Savior and laughing that big laugh we all loved so much. Till we meet again.
