Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Aunt Helen is last of a great generation. She always did things her way. She will be greatly missed. Her laugh and voice sounded so much like my mother (her sister). It gave us joy every time we visited .

  2. Aunt Helen was a wonderful, fun and strong woman. She and my mother were so much alike and there was always a rivalry of some sort going on. I know she was determined to outlive her sister and she did by a few months. I don’t know if it was the Hawkins or Russell in them but all 3 sisters were very strong and determined. We will always have fond memories of her.

  3. Helen was my friend and neighbor for nearly 30 years, and I will really miss our chats about life and our families. The neighborhood won’t be the same without her.

  4. You will be so missed Helen. I always enjoyed seeing you at the gatherings and listening to your stories. You always asked about my family and welcomed me with a big smile. Rest easy.

  5. Aunt Helen is the last of her generation in our family. All the women were strong, and assertive as required of that generation, leaving big shoes to fill. She will be missed!

  6. Thinking of all the stories that Helen and I shared, her sense of humor and so many great laughs we had together! She was one of my favorite clients and I will really miss her!

  7. Grandma Helen was a wonderful person and a great mother in law. She was a good listener and carefully made sure she didn’t take sides. Her four sons valued her opinions and advice, they loved her companionship and highly esteemed and respected her. She truly lived up to the beautiful word “MOM”❤️ We look forward to the beautiful promise at John 5:28,29. Until then we will cherish good memories…

  8. Mrs Snead was always very nice and gracious towards me. When I was at the Dnead home on Fann, Mrs Snead always took time to see how I was doing in the midst of doing all of her parenting and daily home chores. She was always there for her four sons while through their for her four son. She was a great mother to all of us.
