Raymond Baskerville

It is with heavy hearts, the passing of our beloved Raymond Lee Baskerville, who left this world on October 5, 2023. He was 73 years old.
Raymond was born on December 1, 1949, in Hopewell, Virginia, the son of Mable and James Baskerville. He resided in Hopewell, VA until he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1969. He would go on to establish a remarkable military career, serving during the Vietnam War and retiring after 20 ½ years of honorable service.
One of Raymond’s greatest joys was his family. He was a loving husband, father, and papa. He often regaled us with stories from his own childhood, imparting valuable lessons and instilling in his family a strong sense of character.
Raymond had an infectious sense of humor and a warm, welcoming smile. He had an uncanny ability to brighten the room and put everyone at ease. His kindness and compassion knew no bounds and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, four children, Trent, Kyle, Justin, Raymond Jr., and sister Gloria Baldwin. We also fondly remember him through his 10 beautiful grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.
Though he is no longer with us in the physical sense, Raymond will forever live on in our hearts, in the stories we share, and the love we continue to give one another. His legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will be remembered and cherished.
Rest in peace, dear Raymond Lee Baskerville, for your memory will be a source of strength and inspiration for us all. You will be deeply missed!
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to England Family Mortuary, Inc.

Please accept my sincere condolences on your brother’s passing, and know that during this difficult time, you are cared about, prayed for, and are never ever alone. Although there is actually nothing I can say to take away your pain, if my caring thoughts can help, they’re with you right now. May God bless you and your family, and keep all of you in His care now and forever. I strongly believe in the power of prayer🙏🏾 and in the comfort of friendship. Right now, I offer you both.
In deepest sympathy and love,
❤️Your Little Sis,

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Remember earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Trust God and lean on Him during these trying times. He is able to sustain you and comfort you. We are comforted by the words of David in Psalm 30:5, “weeping msg endure for a night but joy come in the morning!” Know that Joy is coming in the morning!
Be blessed,
Reverend Lance Hair – love you much ❤️ 🙏🏾
