Amber Monet Simmons

August 7, 1989 – November 23, 2023

On Thanksgiving Day November 23, 2023, Amber Monet Simmons passed peacefully with family at her side holding her hands. She carried herself through her illness with strength, courage, and grace to the very end.

Amber was born on August 7, 1989 in Bakersfield, CA on the exact day she was due. Since that day she brought us nothing but happiness, laughs, and so many funny and memorable family times.

Amber’s greatest joy was being a mom to her three children. They were the center of every happiness to her as she watched them grow through challenges and successes. They cheered her up whether it be with a silly joke, a silly face, or just a simple hug followed with an, “I love you.”  Her hope was for her kids to grow up knowing that everything she did was for them, and she always fought to be the best mom and mentor she could possibly be. She was thankful that God blessed her with such beautiful children with the purest and heartfelt souls she ever encountered. Through them, she leaves her legacy of love, patience, and compassion.

She lived an extraordinary love of life with travels and adventures across the country, making so many friendships which were all dear to her heart. She could be the life of the party with her sharp wit that kept everyone on their toes or share her smile and laughter that turned ordinary moments into lasting memories.

The one thing she always said before leaving was “I love you”.  She left her loving print on each of us and will be missed so much, but she would want us to be comforted that she is free and home with her heavenly Father.

She is survived by her wonderful children Ricky Sumabat, Emma Sumabat, and Hazel Simmons-Rice, her parents Toby and Rosemary Simmons, and her brother David Nakamura, aunt Teri Simmons, uncle Tom Simmons, uncle Ted Simmons, cousins Aimee and Johnathan Montalvo, Aaron Simmons, Amanda Simmons and nephews Ricky Bartels and Israel Nakamura, and niece Alanna Bartels.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Emilio and Lucy Perez, grandparents Max and Audrey Simmons, uncle Tim Simmons, and papa Peter Willis.

St. Martha’s Catholic Church,

Burial will follow at Murrieta Cemetery, 42800 Ivy St, Murrieta, CA 92562
