Alexandro "Alex" Lopez Sanchez

alexandro lopez sanchez
Alex was an only child, raised by his single mother, Teresa. His uncle Chito was a role model who mentored Alex and got him into boxing where Alex would become a Golden Glove Champ and a professional boxer. Along the way Alex met and married Gloria and they raised three children together: Angelique, Ricky, and Dean. Alex was a people person with a heart for the young struggling in life. He was involved with youth programs, boy's homes, the juvenile hall system and eventually pursued his education to become a drug and alcohol counselor through Cal Baptist University. He opened a boxing gym in Corona to help keep kids from getting into trouble on the streets and trained both of his sons in the sport of boxing. Alex was also a story writer, writing several plays when working for the County of Riverside and played the role of Jesus Christ in one of his plays. Acting was another of the loves of his life, taking roles as an extra in movies. His highlight was sitting in Jack Nicholson's seat at the Great Western Forum during a movie shoot at a Laker's basketball game because he had the same looks as Nicholson. Alex loved his family, always trying to do the best he could for them. Of the many things he did in life, ultimately his greatest accomplishment was raising his children with Gloria, who loved and cared for him in his final days. Alex would touch many lives over the course of his lifetime, and some would even say he was instrumental in helping them turn their lives around and set them on a successful path of life. He is and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
