Andrew Harding Tillman was born August 10, 1934, to Silas Lincoln and Dora Mae Tillman in Berkley, California. He was the youngest of 5 children born to this union. Andrew; was preceded in death by his parents, Silas Lincoln and Dora Mae, and brother’s Jesse, Victor, and Oliver Tillman, as well as his nephew Cornel R. Tillman.

Andrew attended and graduated from Oakland High School. He was heavily involved in football, track, basketball, and choir. Upon completing high school, he served two years in the U.S. Army stationed at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

Andrew came home and started working for the Navy yard in Alameda. He subsequently transitioned to Terminal Island prison in Long Beach as a corrections officer. And later moved on to United Can/Crown Cork and Seal where he retired from in 1996. Andrew married his first wife Delois Cain on October 20, 1961. This union produced two children, Eric, and Lori. She preceded him in death on October 30, 1973. Andrew later married his second wife Rose Marion Tillman on March 13, 1976. Andrew and Marion joined Grace Brethren Church where he actively participated in Sunday School, choir, deacons’ ministry and was a member of the Church Board. He also held comparable positions as they transitioned their membership to Calvary Church Tustin. Andrew was an avid participant in the group teenagers of the 50’s. He also became an RV enthusiast later in life, travelling all over the United States and Canada. He was a member of Roadtrek, where held the positions of Vice President and President at various times throughout his tenure. After retirement Andrew and Marion moved to Murrieta and attended Calvary Chapel Bible Fellowship where Andrew was involved in the Men’s Ministry and Bible Study.

He is survived by his children Eric and Lori Tillman, sister Marion Tillman Allen, Sister-in-law Margaret Hullett; nieces and nephews Carlotta Tillman, Jesse Bernard Tillman, Vivian Tillman, Rosa Tillman, Donise Tolerson, Gherin Easterling, Scott Tillman, John, Robert and Alan Fucles; Meshan and Chris Rachal, Malinda Hullett and Zeffrey Cain; sister-in-law Carol Bell, nephews Gregory, Michael, Ronald and Erik and nieces Karen and Jennifer, and a host of cousins, and other family and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to England Family Mortuary, Inc.
