Tony, my friend and teammate in Karate, I can’t believe you are gone. But I am sure God called you to do a project for him that only you could do with your enormous talent.

Anthony Ritenour

Anthony William Ritenour, age 51, of Temecula, California passed on into the arms of his savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday June 1, 2021. Tony was born the third child to Russell and Patricia Ritenour on May 14, 1970 in Huntington Beach, California. Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia.

Tony graduated in 1988 with honors from Poway High School in Poway, California. Tony also attended San Diego State University as well as Arizona State University pursuing a degree in electrical engineering and mathematics.
Tony, always having an entrepreneurial spirit, started his first company, Vehicle Integrated Products (VIP) at the age of 28. Six years later he became a licensed general contractor and formed Ritenour Development. He built and renovated custom properties in and around the Temecula area through 2008. Over the next few years Tony went into managing commodities under his company, Ritenour Investment Group. During this time, he had earned his Series 7 and CTA licenses. He also taught himself to write computer code and developed an automated trading system used by housing firms in Chicago. Most recently, prior to his death, he was back in the construction business working as a project manager for Box Construction Company.
Tony met his wife Melissa in January of 2001 and were married one year later in January of 2002. Tony and Melissa had twin daughters, Alexis Faith and Olivia Grace, born in December of 2004. The birth of their son, Ezekiel William, followed in March of 2008. Tony and Melissa raised their family in Temecula California, except for three years spent in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Tony was very active in his children’s lives. Whatever their interests were, became his interest. He volunteered his time as a board member and coach for both Temecula Valley Girls Softball Association as well as Temecula Youth Baseball. Tony was also an assistant coach for Temecula Youth basketball League, helping coach Alexis’ team. Tony enjoyed golfing and was thrilled when Olivia seemed to have a talent for it.
Tony is survived by his devoted wife, Melissa, two daughters, Alexis and Olivia, one son Ezekiel. In addition, he is survived by his father, Russell Ritenour of Hemet, CA., a brother Paul Ritenour of Oceanside, CA., and a sister, Rhonda (Ritenour) Ravy of Temecula, CA. as well as in laws and many nieces and nephews.
