Art grew up in Anaheim, California where he graduated from Anaheim High School in 1975. He spent much of his career in the manufacturing industry as a machinist. He met the love of his life, Helene, in 1980 and together they created a beautiful family.
Art loved all things Godzilla. It was not uncommon to find him watching a classic Godzilla movie usually surrounded by several grandchildren. He loved sports, in particular baseball and football and he could be found watching his Raiders on any given Sunday during the football season. He collected comic books, figurines and would attend Comic-Con in San Diego to get a glimpse of some of his favorite characters.
Art loved the Christmas holiday and breakfast was his favorite meal of the day, so in 1981 he combined his two favorites and invited over his closest family and friends where Art and Helene prepared breakfast for them all on Christmas morning. This one-time event evolved into an annual occasion with few exceptions, and many family and friends had the privilege to be a part of this family tradition.
Due to the current health concerns, there will be no services for Art at this time. The family plans to organize a service at a later time.
Helene and family, we are very sorry for your loss. Art was a great guy. He will be missed. Thinking of you and your family. Frank and Gracie Verdin
