Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I first met Cj about 3 years ago. He was one of the few people that could handle my goofiness and give it right back. I loved him for it. We would sit and watch movies for hours and not really know what was going on in the movie because all we would be doing is talking and laughing the whole time. Cj and I used to txt each other silly stories. I would write a few sentences to the story and then he’d write the next couple of sentences, and so on and so on. We’d crack up at the finished result. One time I was sick with a bad cold and Cj brought me over some soup saying it would make me feel better. I’ll always remember Cj as being caring, having a fun spirit, and a kind soul. Until we see each other again, my friend. Xo

  2. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Monfils in the school setting. His attention to his son was heartwarming. I knew right away that my student had an amazing father who loved him deeply. I still have his son as a student, who is one of the kindest, sweetest young men I have met. He often speaks of his dad and I look forward to hearing more of his memories when we can be back in school.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will make sure your boys are watched over in school.

  3. There are so memories of CJ and the whole Monfils clan.
One favorite was when we went on our first camping trip together. The Monfils had a nice fifth wheel and we had our first tent trailer. We loved eating the foil wrapped Boy Scout dinners cooked over an open flame.
We loved how the boys pulled a prank and had toilet paper sticking out of their shorts after pretending to use the restroom.

We were in the audience when CJ participated in the Point of Arrow ceremony ( hoping my memory serves me correctly and that Is what it was called).
We were so proud of both boys and their dedication to the scouts.

Another funny memory was when both boys agreed to watch Jon when he was maybe a year old. We wanted to enjoy a night out as adults. I remember getting a page asking if Jon could feed himself as they were going to feed him cold Campbell’s soup. Jon survived with flying colors and I know he was entertained by both boys.

We were very sad to hear the news from Laura and know our hearts are heavy for his sons and family.

CJ was a kind soul and will be missed on Earth.
    Rest In Peace CJ.

Love to all, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

    Love,
    The Young Family
