clarita navalta

A loving mother bade her final farewell to a family she loved so dear. Clarita Cuevas Navalta passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Kindred hospital, Ontario California. Clarita was born on September 5, 1930, the youngest child of Hilario and Esperanza Cuevas. Although she did not obtain a college degree, she held many jobs in the Philippines. She worked as a clerk in a Post Office and as collection clerk in Olongapo Municipal Office. In 1989, Nanay moved to States with Tatay and lived with Ate Marivic in various cities in California like Cerritos, Long Beach, Laguna Niguel before settling down in Wildomar. She had a passion for sports and hobbies as well. She loved bowling and joined several competitions. She usually spent weekends playing Chinese Checkers, Mahjong, card games. Even through the last weeks of her life she played Mahjong! And of course, she loved karaoke. Some of her favorite songs to sing were My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion and Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler. She loved to cook our favorite dishes: sinigang, adobo, pinakbet, kare-kare and many other Filipino dishes. Her physical presence may have left this world, but her memory will forever stay in the hearts of her family, relatives and friends. She is survived by her children, Jessie, Lorna, Edith, Lolit and Marivic; Grandchildren, Jason, Jerome, Angelique, Leah Angeline, Kathleen, Kenneth and Kimberly. Nanay you will live in our hearts forever. You will see all your dreams fulfilled by your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thank you for all the love and care you gave and all the lessons you taught. We love you and we will forever miss you!
