His Story ~ Daniel grew up a missionary kid, while his parents were in the bush of West Africa reaching out to the tribes, learning their language, and serving them for over 25 years. Daniel and Susan found each other in February of 2012, quickly realized their vision for serving in Africa, and united in marriage in August of 2012.

Daniel and Susan served the Lord in Niger, Burundi, and Tanzania reaching the children and suffering for the gospel, as well as practical needs of food and medicine.

Family ~
Daniel is survived by the love of his life, as well as hers, Susan Brock. They have been husband and wife for 13 years, co-partnering and serving in Africa together, as well as one another America. Susan has cared for Daniel since the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease beginning in 2018. Together they forged this journey, making it their motto to “have as much fun as possible” in his remaining years. The journey has been rich, joyous, and heart wrenching.

Daniel is survived by his beloved brother, Jim Brock, who has fought the good fight for the gospel of the Lord Jesus for many years in Africa and here in the US. Jim’s wife, Kathy, and their children, Jeremiah, Matthew, Steven, and sweet Tiffany will miss their Uncle Danny.

Daniel is also survived by his beautiful mother, Sandra Brock, who worked tirelessly, in the tribes of Niger and Benin with her dear husband, Daniel’s
dad, Jim Brock. Daniel also leaves behind his two beautiful sisters, Susie, and Jeanne.

Most importantly, Daniel is survived by his five beautiful children, their spouses, and grandchildren:

Nathaniel Brock and his wife, Hillary with grandchildren Ryan and Tate. Ellenie Hodgon and her husband, Luke with grandsons James and Noah. Jonathan Brock, and his amazing wife, Ashley. Michael Brock, and his wife Heidi, with grandchildren Sven and Zoe. Rachelle Surprise, and her husband Jeremy with their children, Jenkins, Elizabeth, and sweet Penelope.

Along with this tribe, is another tribe that will be truly missing Grandpa Daniel! We are so grateful to have such a clan! Daniel will be dearly missed by Susan’s children, their spouses, and children!

Matthew McKinney, and his wife, Megan, along with Summer, Sage, Simon, and the new surprise still in the oven. Michael McKinney, and his wife Cassie, grandchildren Samuel and Ellery.

Stephanie Martinez, dear husband Shawn, and grandsons Elijah, Malachi, and Ezer.

Jessica Luoma, her husband Johnny, and dear Judah, Mojave, and baby Kiah.

Kathryn Clauzel and husband, Brian, along with sweet Callan and Quincy. Daniel is predeceased by his own hero in the faith and father, Jim Brock, who served over 25 years in the bush of West Africa, learning the languages and culture of those he endeavored to serve and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Daniel endlessly sees his Dad, though he’s in heaven now … .two heroes who will one day be a part of His bigger plan in the Kingdom of God.

We will be celebrating the true kindness, authenticity, and faithfulness of Daniel Brock May 3, 2025. The location will be at his home in Temecula, Ca.

Invitations will follow.

His ability to continually forgive, hold no record of wrong, and endeavour to exemplify the love of Christ has been life changing and the greatest honor of my life, and those who have known him.
