Daniel Richard Van Gompel

                                    May 16, 1955 ~ August 31, 2024
Daniel Van Gompel, 69, of Temecula, CA, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 16, 1955, in Appleton, WI, to Richard and Audrey Van Gompel, Dan grew up in Little Chute, WI, where he forged the values of family and hard work that would guide his life.
Dan was the beloved husband of Sandy (Stuyvenberg) Van Gompel for 48 wonderful years. Together, they raised three sons: Craig (Jamie), Brett (Tiffany), and Derek (Hannah). Dan was also the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren: Ashlyn, Reid, Dylan, Aubrey, Rya, Emma, Dino, and Mason, who brought him endless joy and fulfillment.
Dan is survived by his siblings Dave (Mary), Donna (Jack), Diane, Dori (Al), Darlene (Bill), and Denise (Brian). He is also survived by his wife Sandy’s family: Sally (Greg), Cindy (Dan), and Bill. Dan’s family shared countless memories of love, laughter, and togetherness, which will be treasured forever. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Audrey van Gompel, and his in-laws Donald and Dorothy Stuyvenberg, sister-in-law, Tina Stuyvenberg and Farrah Van Gompel
After more than 40 years of dedicated service in the food industry, Dan embraced retirement with the same passion he brought to his work. He loved traveling, camping, and golfing, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Dan enjoyed family gatherings around Green Bay Packer games, which were some of his happiest moments.
Dan’s legacy is one of love, leisure, dedication, and a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
Rest in Peace, Dan. Your love and light will forever shine in our hearts.
