Darlene Ann Crinion, 82, of Canyon Lake, died unexpectedly Friday, October 2, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Ill on June 16, 1938 to parents Edward and Violet (Carlson) Gusman. Darlene was a resident of Mission Viejo prior to moving to Canyon Lake in the early 80’s. She was a member of the Canyon Lake Women's Golf club and the Canyon Lake Niners. She was an avid golfer who also enjoyed Bingo and frequent casino outings with family and friends. Most of all she was a devoted mother, grandmother, dog-mom to Tinker, loyal friend, and loving partner to her companion of many years Tony Brown. She leaves behind a heartbroken family who will miss her laughter, honesty, and strong heart every day. Darlene is survived by her sister, Deloris (Dick) Martin, daughters, Kathy (Kevin) Corcoran and Karen Chetock, sons, Kevin and Steven Komperda, grandchildren Danielle (Joshua) Clark, Ciara (Michael) McFarland, Jacob Chetock, Meghan (J.P.) Santone, Shane (Briana) Corcoran, Molly (Jared) Slaybaugh, and Michael Scanlan Jr. along with 12 great-grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Violet (Carlson) Gusman, Her sister Jacqueline (Frank) Yarnell, husbands Daniel Scanlan, Alan Komperda, Loren Crinion, and her son Michael Scanlan.
