Darylene Joy Schram

Darylene Joy Schram, 74, transitioned to be with our Heavenly Father on May 7, 2025. She had been on hospice care at home in Murrieta, CA struggling with CLL cancer for the last year, after having been in remission for the prior eight years.

Darylene is survived by her husband of 54 years, Fred, their 4 children (Dawn, Ryan, Aimee, and Adam), 7 grandchildren (Amy, Meghan, Tyler, Cameron, Mason, Hunter, and Connor), her sister Rozann and brother Jim, and her beloved yellow lab Brooklyn.

Darylene and Fred met in high school and were married in Massillon, Ohio. They later lived in California, Missouri, Michigan, and finally in California again.  After her kids were off to school, Darylene pursued a BSN degree in nursing and enjoyed 30 years working both as a NICU RN and as a Clinical Research Associate, domestically and internationally. And, of course, she was the “family nurse”, whenever needed.

Darylene’s favorite interests in recent years include world travel, live theater, ocean fishing, and enjoying her grandkids’ activities like soccer and hockey. She and her family have also enjoyed many vacations in Maui, thoroughly appreciating that island’s beauty and culture plus their remarkable marine life. She has also been an avid life-long fan of Ohio State Buckeyes Football. Give her a loud “O-H” and she’d give you a hearty “I-O”!

Her family will have a Celebration of Life event in Darylene’s honor at a place & time to be determined.
Aloha Darylene, “A Hui Hou”.
