Dinh Xuan Pham

Mr. Pham Xuan Dinh was born January 19, 1950 at Saigon South Vietnam.
In 1969, he entered the Armed Forces of the Republic of South Vietnam (ARVN) Non-Commissioned Officer Dong De Military Academy, Nha Trang.
In 1970, he received orders to serve with the Armed Forces Communication Directorate and was undergoing further technical training under the ARVN Communications School at Vung Tau with the rank of Sergeant.
He was promoted to Master Sergeant in 1971 and placed in charge of the Communications Reparation Team.
In 1972 he was ordered to receive further training in the Automated Communication system at the South Vietnamese Airforce Academy, Nha Trang, Republic of South Vietnam.
At the end of 1972, in completion of the Automated Communication technical training, he received an order to serve with the Military Automated Communication System at Airport 31, Can Tho, for which the Command was being transferred from the United States to the Republic of South Vietnam, through the Vietnamization Program.
From 1972 till the fall of South Vietnam on April 30, 1975, he proudly served his duty as the Communication Systems Reparation Team Head.
After the fall of Saigon, with a strong desire to seek freedom, in 1978 he decided to take a risky refuge out of his country and was so blessed by a passage success, resulting in him arriving in San Diego, CA in 1979. He started a new life, and sought education where he earned an Electronic Technician's Diploma. In 1983 he opened an auto repair shop in San Diego.
He decided to retire from business in 2005, seeking peace in pursuing life in Buddha's path through A Di Da Village Pagoda, and from which he was ordained.
