Doug was born in St. Marys, Ontario Canada February 23, 1919. He died peacefully January 24, 2012 at 92 years old. He was preceded in death, just short of 3 months, by his wife of 68 years, Mildred. Doug is survived by his 3 children and spouses, 3 grandchildren and spouses, and 5 great grandchildren. Doug retired from the City of Torrance. He was deeply committed to his faith, performing various services for the church until he was unable to continue. He further confirmed his faith by supporting Campus Crusade for Christ. He was an avid baseball and hockey fan. He was always happy, seldom complained, always living a positive lifestyle. His kind nature and generous spirit will live on and be remembered. Funeral service will be at Grace Presbyterian Church, Temecula, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 3:00pm with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Mildred, in Green Hills Memorial Park (Rancho Palos Verdes) next week.
