Eric Todd Thacker

Eric Todd Thacker 39, of Mission Viejo, passed away on May 20, 2023, after a short illness.

Eric was born on December 5, 1983, to Ted and Glenna Thacker in Mesa, Arizona. After Eric graduated from Mission Viejo High School in 2002, he went on to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Novosibirsk, Russia.

Eric graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree and the University of Utah with a master’s degree. After which he began a career in Human Resources in the healthcare industry, a job he loved.

In 2019, Eric met the love of his life, Wendy at a single adult activity in Big Bear City, CA. Eric was an answer to Wendy’s prayers and was divinely prepared to be “bonus” dad to Wendy’s five children, Hannah (Spencer), Paige, Elizabeth, Rion, and Ruth.

Eric loved spending time with his wife. He loved his family, his dog Harley, his motorcycle, Lego, and good food.  Eric’s love of life and positive attitude left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He loved God and lived a life exemplifying Jesus Christ. He served his family joyfully. Eric’s incredible wit and laughter filled our hearts, and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his parents Ted and Glenna Thacker, his siblings Bryan Thacker (Summer), Kristyn Jackson (Paul) and Alyson Kuhle (Michael). He leaves behind many nieces and nephew who adored him.

Services will be held at 27976 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA on Monday, May 29, 2023, at 10am.
