George Lawrence Manning was born October 4, 1946 and passed away on March 22, 2014. His family will miss him greatly. He is survived by his wife, Katie, and children Kate, Brian (and fiance, Heidi), Charlie, Kenny (and wife, Brittani), Meghan and granddaughters Devon and Jordan. George received the Purple Heart for his service while enlisted in the United State Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as the Grand Knight in Julian, CA. A Celebration of LIfe will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church at 10:00 am. His family has asked that guests wear bright and cheery attire. His ashes will be interred at a later date at Miramar National Cemetary.
