  1. I am very sorry to hear of Howard\’s passing. I\’ve had numerous long conversations with Howard, over the past number of years… mostly about our website or plans for reunions. I even made a special badge for him at our 50th. It listed him as Mr. C… and had an image of Fonzie on it, along with Howard\’s own visage. In fact, Howard was the one that kind of needled me into surveying interest in a 55-year Reunion. The reunion was a big success, and I have Howard to thank, even though I don\’t think he ended up attending. Pehaps he was already diagnosed with the cancer?

  2. My late husband and I knew Howard from junior high through Milligan high school. He was always a gentle person with a kind heart, great personality and sense of humor. I always liked Howard. He was smart, funny and easy to talk to. I love seeing him at the reunions and chatting and seeing what a difference he made in his life as an adult and affected many people. I’m so sorry to hear that he passed so young. When you’ve known someone since they were 13 or 14 that is the way I remember him most. I hope his family knows what a wonderful person. Howard was as he was such a gentle soul. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

    I met Howard at the Mary Phillips Senior Center and was fortunate to know him while I was there. He was a very respectful, kind individual.

    He would have lunch at our table and we did strike short conversations.
