John was a good person, an advid golfer, who really enjoyed playing the game and being outside and enjoying nature. He believed in God and lived his life according to his beliefs. He was a good father while Scott was growing up an saw to it that he had advantages to play sports that John never got when he was growing up. He was a talented artist and photographer and enjoyed taking classes at the local junior college to persue these enterests. He also took some classes in creative writing and wrote some interesting stores of when he was a mailman in Ohio. I hope his daughter can find these and enjoy finding out about this side of her Dad. I believe hisbiggest love and enjoyment in life was playing golf.Sharon
Uncle John was a kind and thoughtful man who loved his brothers and sisters, and was so kind to me, his niece. One time when I asked to stay for a night on a cross country trip he sacrificed his sleep time by taking us out to dinner on the coast and showed us the kindest hospitality. I remember him having a ready smile, a gentle disposition, and a willingness to both visit with his brothers and sisters yet take the time to teach this young girl how to throw a shotput. I shall always have fond memories of my Uncle John!
