Jor-el Llego Andres was born on April 20, 1967, in Pangasinan, Philippines. Sadly, He passed away on March 24, 2025, in San Diego, California.

His life was marked by an extensive passion for exploring the world. The first journey he
made was relocating from the Philippines to the Garden Isle of Kauai, Hawaii, with his Mom,
Finalrin and siblings Nura-Nal & Mon-el, when he was 11 years. He was raised by his mother
and went to Kapaa Elementary & Middle school and then off to Kauai High school where he
Graduated.

Shortly after graduating high school, he decided to join the Navy in 1987 and was stationed in
San Diego, CA and lived there to raise his family.  Being in the Navy allowed him to fulfill his
dream to explore and travel the world.

After dedicating 20 years of service with the Navy, he retired on October 31, 2007.  Although
he was retired, Jor-el felt that his mission was not complete and continued to work for the
Navy as an Independent Contractor as an Engineer.  He became an educator and a great
mentor, that earned him great respect and admiration from his family and colleagues.

He was known for his kindness, resilience, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to those
around him.

Jor-el was always willing to lend a helping hand and would not hesitate to give the shirt off his
back. He was a great listener & provided support for anyone who sought his guidance.
Whether it was for a friend in need, a family member, or even a stranger, he gave himself
freely without ever expecting anything in return.

His loving, welcoming & giving nature, as well as, hard work were some of his great qualities.
During family gatherings, he would express his silly side which made him a source of laughter
to all who were fortunate enough to be around him. He had a competitive spirit for the love of
all sports especially basketball & golf. He loved to entertain to show off his passion for
cooking & a master of BBQ’g.  Whether it was at his house or elsewhere he would put on the
biggest spread at every gathering he hosted.  He admired superheroes especially
“Superman” and would always refer to himself as, the “Father of Superman” due to his
namesake.

He had a passion for traveling all over the world, such as wandering the bustling streets of
South Korea, riding elephants in Thailand, and exploring the culture of Japan. Though he
traveled far and wide, there was no greater adventure than his beloved wife, Florence.  Jor-el
and Florence married on November 20, 2008 and their love knew no boundaries.

Jor-el’s kryptonite was his family and close friends. As he joins his father, Perfecto Andres, &
