I know that the trials that we go through in this life are only a small fraction of the things that our savior suffered on our behalf and we are not meant to go through them alone. Through the love we share with others and through the love of Jesus Christ we will be able to be with those loved ones again.
Sending love and prayers for your family! He was my brother and an outstanding man!
So sorry to learn of this. I enjoyed working with MSgt Porter in the NJROTC program. I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Marine.
My condolences, you’ll be missed my brother, chaparral mini boot camp! Fun times.

Kieth you are going to be missed. You made such a large impact on young people at Orange Glen, Leadership Academy and BLT. Not to mention all the instructors you helped out. Your family is in my prayers. I know you are still there watching over us
In loving memory, good memories I shall always hold in my heart, take care buddy and I’ll see you in the afterlife
It has been an astute pleasure knowing you and working at your side these 4+ years. Fair Winds and Follow Seas my friend.
Hello my name is Vilma Everette (retired high school counselor from Orange Glen High School. ) I had the honor of working with Master Sgt Keith Porter and Commander Jenkins for over 20 years. Keith Porter gave so much to the NJROTC students and staff. I remember the BBQ events in Coronado beaches . I had the honor of introducing this soldier to king Jesus and like Jesus he served and loved his wife, family and students . He stepped in to the daughter daddy dance for Angela Jenkins beautiful wedding to David . This friend and role model to students & others will never be forgotten: always in our heart ❤️. Thanks for giving me a break from counseling while visiting you and commander Jenkins in the NJROTC room. Thanks for the laughs and the honor of knowing you! Pastor James and Vilma Everette . We love u 🥰
Keith was such a special man, teacher & friend. He was amazing! Always smiling and so kind. I enjoyed baking for him the past year. I’m so glad he liked my cookies. I used to do the same thing for Commander Jenkins. They were absolutely the very best role models for our kids. I will miss him terribly. We always had a good laugh when we got a chance to chat. He will be missed beyond words. God bless you and your family. xoxoxo
Commander Jenkins and Msgt Porter were like my second parent. Thanks to them I am the men I am now. Even though I was a pain they never gave up on me. Msgt Porter thank you so much for anything and everything you thought me about in life. You and Commander once said, “ show me your friends I’ll show you your future”. Let’s not even mentioned about Mini Bootcamp haha. You were definitely on my a** that weekend.
Thank You for been my friend, instructor, teacher, father. You will be definitely missed.
Keith played a helpful, loving and fatherly role toward my Daughters, Angela and Francesca Jenkins. This was especially true after their father died. My gratitude toward him was great. I always felt contentment when my girls related the many instances of their interactions with him. Thank you, Keith.
He was always there for me Angela and I an my dad. More, so after my dad died. He was a anchor in my dad’s absence. He was my dad’s best friend and a honorary family. Keith and Tae always had a smile and gave Angela and I comfort in happy and sad times. Tae, your family will have a place in my heart
Thanks Mr Porter. You made life here at OGHS extra ordinary. Always kind. Always time to talk. Always an encouraging word a laugh a smile. You made this world a better place. Thanks for shining the light of Jesus here. Thanks for loving all people well. Thanks for your friendship. Love you and miss you brother. See you on the other side.
Master Sergent was a great man and a man of God. One of the most caring people I have ever met in my life, he always had a smile on his face and was welcoming and open to everyone he met. He certainly touched a lot of people and He will be greatly missed. I am honored that I had a chance to get to know him.
We will remember Keith in many positive ways-with his big smile and a great sense of humor, always great with a story. Keith always brought so much light into the lives of those around him. I’m sure your heart is aching. We want you to know that we are here for you if you ever need anything. Our condolences to you and your wonderful family.
May God bless you and strengthen you and your family through these challenging times.
Grateful to have met Keith, and we will cherish the time we spent with him. Every encounter with those we meet has significants and we definitely appreciated and learned from the positive vibrations he always maintained. His physical presents will absolutely be missed, but please know we are all connected through the spirit of our souls. May his family find strength and assurance that Keith will ALWAYS be with them. We send prayers and blessings to you all and will keep and extended hand reached out in support of the family.
It’s never too late to tell you how much you meant to me and my family. From the day we met at LAX to our stories about Okinawa and the guidance you gave me through out my time in the Corps and after the Corps. You will forever be missed and I love you like a big brother.. until we meet again.
