Leocadia Gutierrez
January 15, 1923 ~ September 12, 2012
'A great wife. A great aunt. A great friend. These are just a few of the many ways you can describe Leocadia, better known as Allie or Bobbie. To those who knew her best, she was the life of the party. She could light up a room simply by the sound of her booming voice. And in the middle of a crowd of friends and loved ones was where she felt most comfortable. Allie and her husband, Manuel, were married for over 58 years and were a match made in heaven. Through thick and thin they sat side by side as she did the talking and he did the listening. And over the many years of cruises, trips and nightly novellas their love became a rock that could never be broken. Though she never had children, she loved every one of her many nieces and nephews as though they were her own. Growing up with three sisters and a brother meant many children and grandchildren that she could spoil with love, and spoil was exactly what she did until the very end. They have lived in Temecula for over 20 years and built many lasting friendships from being highly involved in their community. The two were known celebrities around town- with a church group at St. Catherine's in a reserved pew, a vacationing senior group, and a private booth at every restaurant in a 20-mile radius- so much that Allie couldn't leave her house without being stopped at least once by a friend. She leaves behind a legacy of devoted family and friends that were inspired by her infinite wisdom, overwhelming kindness and sheer joy that can never be forgotten.'
