Leroy Conrad Schmidt

Lee Schmidt, of Murrieta, CA, finished his final lap on the raceway to Heaven with his family by his side on July 5, 2022 after suffering a heart attack. He was 66 years young.

Born September 6, 1955 in New Jersey, Lee was the oldest of three children. He grew up and attended school in Colorado, graduating with a B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 1978. He worked his tail off in the insurance industry for 43 years, earning several awards, distinctions, and a whole lot of respect along the way. He took on various roles as supervisor and spent the last two decades in management before celebrating a well-earned retirement just last year.

Lee loved cars, sports (go Broncos!), volunteering at church, donating blood, planning and working on home projects, Friday night Chipotle dinners, making memories with his family, and taking every opportunity to show people God’s love with a helping hand and listening ear. He was really, really good at that.

Lee is survived by his beautiful wife Sheila, their adoring children Sara (Doug) and Kenny (Chelsea), and three precious grandchildren: Kinsley, Kayden and Claire.

A celebration of life will be held July 30, 2022 at 10am at Revival Christian Fellowship in Menifee. As a way to honor Lee, please consider scheduling a blood donation (or monetary donation if unable to give blood) to the American Red Cross or your local blood bank.
