lila randall
Lila Mae Randall was born on August 15, 1950 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, to Adienne Young (she has preceded her to glory) and was the oldest of 8 children. Five brothers, Willie James Barnes, Ralph Young, Gary Young, Clifton Young, Jr., Christopher Young (all of whom have preceded her to glory) and two sisters, Linda Young and Teresa Young. In 1964 Lila moved to Los Angeles, CA to live with her grandmother, Minnie Mae Randall (deceased). Growing up, Lila was independently driven and her dream was to become an actress. In 1969, at the age of 19, she entered into her first job as a PBX operator and started pursuing her dream, studying to become an actress. She regularly attended an acting school in Santa Monica while living in the city of Venice. Lila also had a love for music so she started going to a popular club in West LA called The Apartment West on Crenshaw Blvd. That is where she met Eddie Summers, a drummer with extraordinary musical skill that stole her heart from the very start. Two years later in 1971, Lila and Eddie had a child together, a daughter named Yolanda Jaguar Summers. Lila accelerated as a lead or supervisor in every job she held. She was not just a good employee when she hit the workforce, she was always known as a loyal friend, a mother figure and confidante to many of her co-workers. Lila was instrumental in the co-publishing deal with Diana Ross' music publishing company, Roseville Music, and Eddie Summers music publishing company Kallbox Publishing. She was the Chief Administrator of Kallbox Publishing, housing a catalog of over 200 songs, all written by Eddie Summers. Lila experienced a life full of adventure. Eddie wanted to show her the world, taking her to London, England, and traveling through several parts of Europe. He took her from the west coast to the east coast traveling state by state from California to Philadelphia to New York. In Philadelphia, Lila became an in-demand fashion designer when she started designing unique clothes for her daughter, Jaguar, when she danced on the television show Dancing' On Air. Lila was a member of Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Riverside, CA for many years. She was a Christian who had an unwavering love for God. She was known as Lila, Mae, Ma, Mami, Mamacuda, Cheyenne, and her favorite term, "Granny." And she gave us all personal nicknames dear to her heart in return. Even though she carried a different role in everyone's life, she left a piece of her heart in each and every one of us. Lila gained her wings May 9, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones. Lila loved her family first and foremost. Her family was her top priority. She was filled with so much joy by the generations of children in her life. She leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life, Eddie Summers; her children Yolanda Jaguar Summers-Bluhm, Todd Bluhm (Son in law), Tanya Jones, Eddie Daeo Jones, James Ward, Jacqueline Jones, Ebony Ward, Tiffany Jones, Jamie Dixon; grandchildren Jacob Bluhm, Casey Oldham (fiancé), Joshua Bluhm, Maiya Soukpaseuth (fiancé), Joseph Bluhm, Jenesis Bluhm, Tatyana Ward, Taniya Ward, Jody Ward, Elizabeth Rainwater, Zachary Rainwater, Tyler Ward, Aaliyah Pruitt, Jaylen Bullard and Aniyah Thomas.
