Manuel "Mamieā Rosales Lomuntad, age 81 formerly of Temecula,
California passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. He was born December 1, 1939 in Catbalogan Samar Philippines to Teodoro and Amalia Lomuntad. He was a graduate at Mapua University. A devoted family man, Manuel was known for his generosity and gregariousness. He loved playing basketball, singing and being with his family and friends. He was also a devout catholic and would attend mass as often as he can. Manuel relocated to the United States in 1997 along with his wife and 2 of his children Kim and Kheo. In 2008, he served as president of the Katbaloganon association in east coast USA of Saint Bartholomew. He was known to always bring joy to those around him, always ready with a smile and a kindness that endears him instantly to those he meets. In his later years he battled cancer but despite only being given 6 months to live he fought it for 2 years. During these years he was able to travel the country from coast to coast with his family. Seeing and enjoying numerous national parks and visiting relatives along the way. A beloved father, grandfather and husband, his absence will be felt for years to come but his memory lives on and his legacy set in stone in those he touched with his spirit and soul. Manuel is survived by Corazon his wife of 48 years whom he married in 1973. His son's Kirby and daughter-in-law Rowena, Kit and daughter-in-law Riza, Kim and daughter-in-law Karen, his daughter Kheo and son-in-law David. His grandchildren Kurt, Kyle, Rachel, Sophia, Sebastian, Spencer, Tatyana, Tyara, Nicole and Kaspian. His brother Ben and sister Mely Mercurio, nee Lomuntad. Along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will hold a viewing on October 17 between 5 and 8 pm at England Family Mortuary 27135 Madison Avenue, Temecula, CA 92590. A funeral mass and service will be held at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church 41875 C St. Temecula, CA 92592 on October 18 10am.
