Mark Wyatt Harris

Mark W. Harris, 63, of Murrieta, CA passed away in Hemet, CA on March 19, 2016, after a prolonged battle with congestive heart failure. Mark was born in Glendale, CA in 1953 to Betty and Glenn Harris. He attended Laguna Beach High School and National Technical Schools in Los Angeles, California. In 1973 Mark enlisted in the Air Force and was flight leader of his squad, but during basic training he injured his knee and was honorably discharged. Mark worked as a heavy duty equipment operator and was instrumental in opening Rancho Auto Parts with his partner, John Norbie. In 1975 Mark married Lynda Stumpf and had a son, Matthew, in 1979. They divorced in 1983. In 1984 Mark married Diane Wirkkanen and they had a daughter, Sandra, in 1985. Mark enjoyed watching, participating in and photographing a variety of sports including auto racing, baseball, football, soccer and golf. He loved the water and was an avid scuba diver. Before his passing, Mark was passionate about his dream to provide clean, life-saving drinking water to disaster victims and first responders through ER H2O, a nonprofit organization, but was unable to see his dream come to fruition in his lifetime. Mark is survived by his wife Diane, son Matthew, daughter Sandra and 4-month old grandson Zaiden. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 23rd at Rancho Community Church, 31300 Rancho Community Way, Temecula, CA 92592.
