Mary Earlene Bundy

Mary Earlene Bundy, 1929-2019, age 89, passed away on January 30, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Andrew and Lily Violet Redden of Paoli, Indiana, and brother Eugene Redden of Bethesda, Maryland.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Gordon Bundy, son Steven Bundy (Christie Bundy) of Taos, New Mexico, son Douglas Bundy of Venice, California, daughter Beth Gutierrez (John Gutierrez) and grandsons Zachary and Evan Gutierrez all of Temecula, California. Also sister Mary Alice Turner (Jack Turner) of Oceanside, California, niece Debbie Beebe (John King) of Scottsdale Arizona, nephew Terry Turner (Laurie Turner) of Oceanside, California, sister-in-law Yasue Redden (Eugene Redden), niece Karin Dickinson (Larry Sternberg) of Naples, Florida and nephew Kenneth Redden (Karen Redden) of Stevensville, Maryland.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for the support and blessings from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, Gordon, Steven, Douglas & Beth all request that friends and family make a donation to the San Diego Harp Society in the memory of their late wife and mother. We also donated her harp to the Society. Donated funds will aid the society in increasing their Senior Scholarship Fund that will financially help graduating high school students continue their education into an accredited college or university. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Avenue, Riverside, California.

I met Earlene when I married and began teaching in Paoli. Gordon, Lester (my husband) and the two Earlene’s became life long friends. I was Steve’s third grade teacher, and she named her daughter Beth also. Therefore we had an Earlene and Beth in California and another pair in Indiana. We have kept in touch all these years.
