Obituary

Renne Dela Cruz Ramirez, age 43, peacefully went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 18, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends.

Renne will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ma Morena, children Marie Yvonne, Reyven and Renz, his mother, Leonor and brother, Ruel. He also leaves behind his fur babies, Fendi Dior and Louis Vuitton. Renne was preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo, and younger brother, Leus.

Hailing from a family of servicemen, Renne followed in the footsteps of his father, uncles and grandfather and became a decorated 24-year veteran of the United States Navy where he attained the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.  Among his commendations are the Armed Forces Expeditionary, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation, Iraq Campaign and Defense Meritorious Service Medals.

Born on August 1, 1979 in the US Naval Hospital, Subic Bay, Philippines, Renne grew up in Subic, where he spent his idyllic childhood within the confines of the former navy base.  After getting married and enlisting in the Navy, he and his family settled down in Southern California. They have called Winchester their home for the last 10 years where they enjoyed having backyard barbecues, karaoke nights and spending time with family and friends.

Renne was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was very family oriented. He dedicated his life to his wife and children until his last breath. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and his fur babies.

He was a dear friend to many. A proud Filipino American navy man, Renne was deeply passionate about the plight and welfare of his fellow military veterans. He loved his country and served it all his adult life. He truly lived the American dream.

Fair winds and following seas Senior Chief Renne Ramirez, you will be dearly missed by all you have touched with your love, courage and service. We will always love you and we are so proud of all your accomplishments.
