Bob, your “Disability” never stopped you. From a mechanic, to Reserve Fallbrook Fire Battalion Chief, to Camp Pendleton Fire Chief, then onto Deputy Chief at California Office of Emergency Service. An amazing career and a good friend to all. I will miss your calls and emails. Your on your finale run Chief 10-7.

I along with many others have Bob to thank for our careers in the fire service. Bob convinced me to become a reserve firefighter in 1976 which led to my 38-year career. I solely have him to thank. Bob was an inspirational person and leader in the fire community. I was always humbled when I had an opportunity to talk to Bob over the years, especially when he became Deputy Chief of Cal OES. Bob will be missed, but his legacy will live on with his accomplishments. RIP my friend…….Don Stevens

Bob, without you I would never have had a thirty year career in the Fire Service. God bless you my friend.
