Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Nilos, Malek family,
May Roland’s soul soar. May he rest in Eternal peace.
    Our deepest condolences.
    Roger. May. Roy Koychakgi

    • I am so sorry for your loss. Roland was a dear friend to me and my family. I will always remember his kindness and sense of humor.
He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

  2. We are so sorry for your loss. We hope you find comfort in his peace. Surely your Pops and my Pops are enjoying themselves at Heaven’s barbeque as we speak.

  3. He was a loyal friend, and true friends, even if they died, their memory will remain burning in our hearts and memories.
May your soul rest in peace!!

  4. I am so saddened to hear that my close friend Roland has passed. To his family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed dearly. He was a great friend. I knew Roland most of my life and will cherish the fond memories I have of him. The hunting trips, the barbecues, and all of the great times we had together. He will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.

    • Thank you Mike, he loved you like a brother. You were always a part of our family. I’m so sorry you lost such a dear friend.

  5. I have so many fond memories of Roland. My father and him were like brothers and he always treated us like family. I’ll never forgot that handshake of his. The hamburgers he would always give us when we went to Dennys as kids. The hunting trips I would go on with my dad and Roland, and the talks he would have with me. Those were some special moments I will never forget. My sincerest condolences to all of his family. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.

  6. Roland was an awesome father, friend and all around fun guy. My memories of him are the Eucalyptus years, being a kid just down the street and visiting my friends Amanda and Julia. He’d often be home and I remember how he’d bring us Denny’s toys for all of the kids to play around with- back in the day when restaurants gave things away ;-)! He was always thinking of us and as a nine year old kid I thought that was so cool. Most other dads wouldn’t have done that. Then I also remember how Amanda, Julia and I staged a production in the backyard of The Lion King for him and the family- with crazy kid choreography. He probably thought we were nuts. But he smiled and gave us that laugh that was so deep and resonant- I can hear it still today. Such wonderful memories of man that was many things to many people. The Pluskat’s and Klewenhagen’s love you guys so much- our prayers are with you to get through this time of sadness.

  7. I love cooking! I remember Pop trying help me learn when we were kids. He would tell me crappy instructions like “until it looks right” and I had no clue what that meant! I wanted very specific instructions. I have always loved good food but he helped me learn how to make good food. It’s probably silly but I am so happy I got to cook for him a couple times. I was stupid proud when he liked the food I made. He would have lied to me to make me feel good because he is kind but I believe I impressed him! He made a huge imapct on me and my life. I think thats amazing!

  8. I did not have the privilege of knowing Roland”Pops”, but know and love those who loved him! Especially his girls. Praying the heartaches and grief will give way to the joys of sweet memories in time.
    Much love to you all,
    Linda Guarino
