Stephen Michael Crawford

Stephen (Steve) Michael Crawford, age 61, of Aguanga, CA, passed away on Wednesday, December 16 from cancer.
Steve was born at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK to parents Kenneth and Helen Crawford on January 16, 1959.
He graduated from Hemet High School in 1977, then graduated from MSJC and Cal State San Bernardino with an Engineering Degree and worked in the telecommunications industry. After helping in his daughter's reading program he decided that he wanted to be a teacher and returned to Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State San Marcos for his teaching degree. He attended Brandman University for a certificate in Autism and received his Master's Degree from Concordia University Portland. He taught in High School Special Education for the past 22 years at Hamilton High School in Anza.
Steve married his wife, Wandakaye in 1981, raising her 2 boys Jason Bishop I (deceased) and Aaron Bishop. Together they had a son, Michael, and a daughter, Lacey, and adopted their grandson, Jacob Crawford.
While Steve was pursuing his second career he worked at the local market. He was also involved in 4H teaching photography and computers as well as helping his kids and grandkids sports teams.
When Steve is thought of "the Fruits of the Spirit" come into play. He was full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. He made these traits seem effortless.
Steve was a wonderful and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and teacher. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Crawford; wife Wandakaye; sons Aaron (Stacy) Bishop and Michael (Robin) Crawford, Jacob Crawford; daughter Lacey Crawford; twin sister Elizabeth (Kip) Ongstad; brother Richard Crawford as well as grandchildren: Raquel, Alexis, Nicole, Jason II, Shane, Rigel, and Aurora. Great-grandchildren Payson, Cody, Taylor, Rose, Bellakay, Ariel, Liam, Luke and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen, and son Jason Bishop I.
Private services for family and close friends was held at England Family Mortuary. A memorial service will be held in Anza, CA at a later date.
