Thouriya Kamel Guindi, a ten-year resident of Sun City, California passed away on Wednesday 11 March 2020 at Riverside Community Hospital. Thouriya was born in the suburbs of Cairo, Egypt on 27 October 1946. Thouriya was the youngest of three children, who all worked to help support their mother, who was a single parent most of their lives. Thouriya received her accounting degree from the University of Cairo and worked as a civil servant accountant for the Egyptian Social Security administration. Thouriya was married to Boushra Milad Guindi in September of 1972 and was blessed with two sons. She and her family immigrated to the United State in December of 1982 and shortly thereafter established their home in Southern California, living in Garden Grove, Victorville, Anaheim and finally moving to Sun City in April of 2010. While living in the United States, Thouriya continued to work as an accountant for various companies and enjoyed spending time with her family, working out in the gym, swimming in the pool and taking walks around her neighborhood. Thouriya was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother and is survived by her husband, Boushra Milad Guindi, her two children: Harvey Boushra Guindi of Emmaus Pennsylvania, and Paul Boushra Guindi of Sun City, California, and three grandchildren. Thouriya had a deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and taught her family the principles of the gospel and was a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church, which is the official Christian Church established by Mark the Evangelist in Alexandria, Egypt. Funeral services will be held on Thursday 19 March 2020, 10am PST at St. Thomas the Hermit Coptic Orthodox Church at 31863 Ruft Rd., Winchester, CA 92596. Burial will be at the Perris Valley Cemetery.
