  1. I know I’m probably coming from a very different perspective than many having met my best friend,
Venus Grady in real estate school 30’ish years ago in Hawaii.

My husband and I met Trey about two years ago when we first moved to San Diego. We immediately loved him and understood what Venus saw in him and how in love he was with her. After 30 years, I can tell you, I have never seen her more happy than she was with Trey and I am so grateful for that. My heart breaks for her. And of course for a family that raised such a gentleman and a gentle man. That showed Venus what love is all about, that’s a family that raised him right. I also admired his service to our country. A sacrifice for sure and what also molded him into the man that allowed my friend to drop her guard fully and be with her true love. That is one special man.

We love you, Travon and will forever miss you. Forever in our hearts.

    Aloha O’e

  2. Nothing hits home more than the phrase, no words can express the pain i feel. I think god made a mistake when he took trey away from me, but who am i to question God. In a way i feel selfish because i want to go back in time and fix this some how. It just doesnt seem real it just hurts. But knowing trey and the type of guy he was he would want me to not worry and move on. So moving on im going to tell you about the the great man i know. Trey was a friend, a role model, a teacher, a competitor, and a loving person. But trey was more to me than just a friend he was my family, my brother. Trey was a crutch for me when times were bad and my hype man when things were good. Trey is the only person I know that genuinely cared about my problems perhaps even more than his own problems. Trey had a no worry mentality that could calm me down in the most stressful situations. You just don’t find brothers like trey every day, i was just lucky. I guess in the end you think about the beginning and the memories and the things you could have done, should have done, and would have done..but trey never wanted me to dwell in the past trey would want me to have no worries and move on. But the one thing that puts my mind at ease is trey marrying venus, because at least I know the last days of his life were the happiest days of his life with venus in treys life. To treys parents I know we never met, I want to thank you for raising an outstanding man. Love in all my heart. DeAndre Harrington
