William Gerald Trimble

William Gerald Trimble of Lake Elsinore, CA, passed away on January 14, 2021 at St Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, CA. He is survived by his children Gary Trimble and his wife Edna, William Lester Trimble II and his wife Sharon, and Susan Saunders and her husband John; his grandchildren SheilaGrace Trimble, Hayley Trimble, and William Christopher Trimble and his wife Sky; his great grandchild Olivia Noelle Trimble; and his brother Robert Trimble and his wife Carole. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sheila Trimble and his sister Janice Suydham.
William, who went by Bill, was born to William McDurham Trimble and Theresa Lena Heppler, in Sacramento, California on October 23, 1941. Bill served in the U.S. Navy from May 1959 to October 1962, stationed aboard the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) as a boatswains mate. Bill married Sheila Louise Ronning on October 23, 1962 in San Francisco, CA. Bill worked as an auto mechanic, piano refinisher, and gardener throughout his life. He came to the Inland Empire in his retirement years where he lived with his son Gary and his family, then with friends until his passing.
Bill loved the sea and often went fishing with his family and his brother Bob earlier in life. In remembrance of his naval service and love of the sea, Bill’s ashes will be sprinkled at sea in a private family ceremony.
