Greg England

Funeral Director, Crematory Operator & Pastoral Care

  1. The funeral profession, to me, is a unique ministry that allows me to draw from years of church vocation. Helping people navigate a journey without high pressure sales pitches brings great joy to me and to them. Often a family member will see me out in the public years later, come up and hug me and thank me, again, for helping them through the “funeral maze.” And I love being self employed in a family business.
  2. I grew up in the Deep South where community was a very important part of one’s life. I find the Temecula Valley to be a large community with a small-town feel. The people here are friendly and pleasant. I have been actively involved in our church family as a fill-in preacher on given Sundays; teaching seminars on grief recovery as well as conflict resolution; and, for the past several years, I’ve been active in the worship ministry of Awakening Church, playing multiple instruments.
  3. My educational background includes degrees in psychology and counseling as well as Biblical studies. I was trained in mediation and conflict resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. My 35 years in church ministry provides insight into people’s needs and how to handle each family uniquely.
  4. My wife, Janice (and co-funeral director at England Family) met in 10th grade and have been together ever since. We have over 50 years together and have been blessed with two children, four grandchildren, multiple dogs (presently our rescue dog, Bella), and many friends literally across the country. I enjoy reading, Bible study, music (I am a multi-instrumentalist), and spending time with friends. My grandchildren bring us immeasurable joy.
