A Family-Owned Funeral Home
At England Family Mortuary, our story began with a simple dream—to create a place where families in Southern California could gather, reflect, and celebrate life in a setting that feels genuine and peaceful.
In 2007, that dream became reality when our family opened the doors to our funeral home in Temecula, California. From the beginning, our mission has been to serve families with sincerity, care, and respect.
Over the years, we’ve listened closely to the families we serve. In 2013, we added our own on-site crematory, ensuring your loved one always remains in our care. In 2021, we completed a full renovation of our Temecula facility—enhancing comfort, beauty, and accessibility for our community.
What began as one family’s vision has become a trusted source of comfort and guidance for others. Today, we remain deeply committed to providing every family with dignity, respect, and heartfelt service from start to finish.
Our History
England Family Mortuary began as a dream in Long Beach, California. Years ago, Joshua and his father, Greg, both worked part-time for a local funeral home and often found themselves serving families side by side. They would talk about how meaningful it would be to one day own their own funeral home and work together full-time.
At the time, Joshua was in college and coaching varsity baseball and soccer, while Greg was pastoring a church full time. The idea was just that…a dream.
After graduation, Joshua began working full time for a respected funeral home in Los Angeles. When he moved to Temecula to be closer to his fiancée, he continued serving families as a funeral director, holding on to the same dream he and his father shared.
In February 2007, that dream became reality. The opportunity arose to purchase the property and building of the mortuary where Joshua worked. After a complete renovation, England Family Mortuary opened its doors in June of that year.Greg retired from ministry after 30 years and joined Joshua full time, and soon after, Janice left her teaching career to work alongside her husband and son as a pre-need counselor. In 2008, she became a licensed Funeral Director, making England Family Mortuary a true family business in every sense. In 2021 the England Family welcomed a new member of the family to the business, Zac, who is Josh’s brother-in-law by marriage and is a local pastor to the staff. Josh and Zac welcomed their wives Heather and Brittany onto staff in 2024 as community liaison and marketing roles. In 2025 the family business made it to 3 generations strong when Josh’s oldest son, Jackson, started working with the family in the business.
With over 100 years of combined experience, the England’s are dedicated to serving families with care, faith, and compassion. The mortuary was designed to feel like home; a warm, comfortable place where families can gather and honor their loved ones.
