Obituary of Belen Lasian Bostre

Belen Lasian Bostre, 81, of Wildomar, CA passed away on April 11, 2021 in Inland Valley Medical Hospital surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Belen was born in the Republic of the Philippines - municipality of Calamba, Laguna to Arsenio N. and Angela A. Villanueva Lasian on August 25, 1939. Belen completed her studies in the Philippines and received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Upon completion of her studies, she married Casiano Bostre (now divorced). While in the Philippines, she had two children, Anna Maria "Annie" Bostre-Le and Arnel Bostre. The family eventually moved to Saipan, Northern Marianas Island to find better opportunities and employment. During their stay in Saipan, she had another daughter, Belinda (Bostre) Ribao. The family eventually moved to Guam, where she worked as a Registered Nurse at the OB Ward at Guam Memorial Hospital for a span of almost twenty years. Belen found the career often hard and exhausting but she believed the overall rewards were far greater than her individual struggles. After retiring in 1999, she moved to California to be close to her children and eventually settled in Wildomar to live with her daughter, Belinda and her family.

Belen had an incredible personality with the biggest heart and brightest smile. She made her children, their spouses, grandchildren and close friends feel very much loved. She was a very proud lola (grandmother) to her grandchildren. Belen was also a fighter. She survived being struck by a speeding vehicle while crossing a street in 1988 and battled and survived breast cancer in 2019. Belen had a green thumb and was an excellent cook and made delicious Filipino dishes, especially her leche flan.

Belen is survived by and leaves behind her three children and their families. Annie, her husband Si (Le) and their sons, Christopher and Jonathan. Arnel, his wife Anita (Lee) and their children, Lance, Leyton and Kendall. Belinda, her husband Reynante (Ribao) and their son, Bryce. Belen is also survived by her siblings, Dante Lasian and Jovita Lasian; her nieces and nephews: Pienafrancia Lasian, Maria Cecilia Valmoriand, and Raymund and Jannifer Lasian; Melvin, Alan and Lysette, and Archie Mabbayad and her grandnieces: Maria Kiana Luisa and Maria Danica Lori Valmoria, and Alexandria and Aurora Mabbayad.

Belen will be joined and greeted at the gates of Heaven by her father and mother: Arsenio N. and Angela A. Villanueva Lasian; her sister and brother-in-law: Aurora (Lasian) and Bacilio Mabbayad and her Sister-in-law: Loreta Lasian.
