Billie Maxine Stockton Fagundes

Maxine passed away in Murrieta on November 22, 2014. Born in Paden, Oklahoma in 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Fagundes, mother Edna Huddleston, father Hershel Stockton, sister Patsy Friday and nephew Danny Friday. Mother of Rick Fagundes and Roxanne Wade of Murrieta, California. Dear grandmother of Priscilla Lane and Melody Wade of Murrieta. Loving great-grandmother of Korbin, Kamrin, and Kolene Lane, children of Priscilla Lane and of Makayla and Kyle Hilton, children of Melody Wade. She is also survived by her sister Jodean Boeve and brother in law Arlen Boeve of Artesia, California. Along with multiple nieces and nephews in California. Maxine spent most of her childhood years in the Artesia area of California. She attended Excelsior High School in Norwalk. She and Elvin were married in 1953, and spent the early years of their married life together in Bard, California where they owned and operated a dairy. In 1973 they moved to Murrieta, California where they owned and operated the Mission Hills Mobile Home Park in Historic Downtown Murrieta and the coin operated Murrieta Car Wash on the corner of Ivy St. and Washington Avenue After selling the Mobile Home Park and retiring, Maxine developed a passion for art and oil painting She participated in the art leagues of Fallbrook, Murrieta and Temecula . She received multiple ribbons for her art work. She remained a member of the art leagues.. All who knew of her art work remarked on her amazing talent and enthusiasm. She loved being out in her yard and could be found planting flowers and pulling weeds while wearing her big sun hats. She will be greatly missed, most of all by her family in whose lives she was a constant and generous presence. Even in her final days, her great grandchildren were the final delight of her life. Services will be held at the Murrieta Valley Cemetery in Murrieta, California on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 10:00 am.
