GOODALE, Catharina ( Tina ) Alida December 9, 1937 – January 19, 2015 Tina Goodale, 77, passed away on Monday January 19th at her son’s home in Murrieta, Ca following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Tina was born in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She was the child of Albertus Mater and Johanna Sproot. After World War II Tina moved with her mother to Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. It was there she married her high school sweetheart Lloyd Neil Goodale. She earned her nursing degree and was proud to be a nurse her whole life. She lived an adventurous life with her loving husband, first immigrating to California then subsequently living in New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland and Pennsylvania before finally settling back in California. They both loved to travel and had many journeys and shared their stories with everyone they met. Tina had a love of flowers and all things outdoors. One of her favorite stories was when she was growing up in Amsterdam she always spent her allowance buying flowers to give to the soldiers. She would then complain to her grandmother that she had no money for ice cream. She was active in the San Clemente Garden Club and the Los Ninos chapter of CHOC. She was also an avid bridge player. Her indomitable spirit, courage and optimism will always be remembered. Tina is survived by her three children: her son Neil Goodale ( Barbara ), her daughter Lisa Ann Goodale Ossman ( Dave), her daughter Lynn Goodale, her six grandchildren: Christopher Goodale, Katie Bird, Ian Goodale, Brienna Ossman , Benjamin Goodale and David Ossman, her Sister-in-law Betty Jean Prosser, Brothers-in-law Lonald Goodale ( June ), Brien Goodale ( Donna ), Daniel Goodale ( Marsha ), and many nieces and nephews. Tina is preceded in death by her husband Neil and her son Brien Ross. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday February 7th at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Fatima church in San Clemente, Ca. A reception in Tina’s honor will follow at Carbonara’s Restaurant on Avenida Del Mar, San Clemente, Ca.
