Doris Ann Upshur passed away on May 22, 2012 in Murrieta, California. She was born on July 3, 1945 in New York. She is survived by her loving husband, Leroi Upshur; and her loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Covenant Church in Murrieta on May 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.

Hello mom, Well I am sure you heard the news that Bigmom left us on September 30, 2015 and is up there with you now. Uncle Pat joined the party up in Heaven on September 25. I don’t know how everything works in Heaven, but I believe that you, your mom, your dad, your brother, and Uncle Pat are all reunited again and catching up on old times. Life on earth will be different now that Bigmom is not around. Just like when you went to Heaven, those left here on earth will have to step up to the plate and do our part to keep the family strong and close knit. Miss you mom and love you always. Thanks again for everything you taught me and provided for me. Tell Biggest I said thank you as well and congrats on graduating to Heaven. Good news, the Dodgers just lost and are out of the playoffs – AGAIN. And it’s still: GO GIANTS, RAMS, SHARKS, STANFORD, & FLOYD MAYWEATHER.
I am praying for you during your time of sorrow. May God continue to bless you.
I haven’t forgotten about you mom and I miss you greatly. Some days are definitely harder than others, and I don’t think I’m doing a good job of dealing with it. I wish to dialogue with you right now, and like always – I refuse to speak to anyone else. I remember what you taught me and will talk to El-Shaddai. Thank you and love you. See you soon.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of your passing. Then I remembered that smile and kind word that you would always have for me and my son. It also warmed my heart to see the love and affection that you and your husband shared and gave me hope that true love is possible. You will truly be missed but I know that I will see that bright smile again when we are with the Father. My prayers are with your husband and family although they know you are with the Father, they will miss you tremendously. Well Ayanna got married on Saturday 03/19/2016. It was a beautiful wedding; Ayanna did real well with the planning etc. Aunt Lois, Aunt Ern & Uncle Jim, Uncle Bruce & Aunt Shirley, Uncle James & Aunt Denise, Ellis, Foluke, Pookie, and Biggie made it out from the east coast. I was so happy for Ayanna that they came out. Uncle James married Ayanna & Emmanuel. A lot of family & friends from here in California made it also, including Danny & Maria. Kimani & Alicia had a baby girl this morning 03/23/2016: Brynle Ann. She is a little thing. I love you & will be back later.
