Edgar R. Schaap, 79, of Murrieta, Calif., went to be with the Lord Oct. 28, 2011. Ed was born in Aplington, Iowa, on Oct. 30, 1931. He is survived by his wife MaryAnn (Gardner), children Steve (Christine) Schaap, Karen (Mark) Bosman, David (Virginia) Schaap, John (Deborah) Gardner, JoAnn (Mark) Ensminger, brother Arnold Schaap, sister Arlene Maifeld, and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Rose (Palmer), his wife of 38 years. Ed was a New York Life insurance agent for 35 years in Grand Rapids and Toledo. Memorial service is Nov. 1, at 2:00 pm, at Grace Presbyterian, 31143 Nicolas Rd, Temecula. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Presbyterian (Temecula), CRWRC.org, or Charter Hospice.
