  1. Elaine was a great friend…she was always kind, considerate, and available to talk with. During the last week of our school year Elaine came out to my class and talked to me for quite awhile. She bought me a fruit platter and sweet bread the last day of school–just as a “thank you” for teaching her students…she was thanking me for doing my job–imagine that! On our last teacher work day she made a special effort to come and see my special needs son who was visiting campus. Again, she spent a long time talking to me and watching my son. I will really miss Elaine and the nice things she always did for me. I can not say enough nice things about her, everything she did was special. In addition to being a great friend, she was a wonderful teacher to her special needs students. She was a tremendous asset to our staff and I will miss her greatly. No matter how long she would have stayed on this earth it wouldn’t have been long enough…

  2. How to thank Mrs. Reyes for changing the lives of many children and parents. I was honor to have met Mrs. Reyes. As a parent walking into her classroom, gave me all the good feelings any parent would want to experience. “Please, visit my classroom any time you want. My classroom is open to any child who needs my program. Bring any parent who wants to come and meet me. I am a teacher and a parent and I am here to help who ever needs me.” These are the exact words Mrs. Reyes told me the first day I met her. We will miss her, how lucky we are to have known her. Mrs. Reyes, my prayers to your family. I know that where ever you are, you will continue to keep taking care of your passion, Special Needs Kids.

  3. I had the pleasure of meeting Elaine this past year when I went to observe her classroom. She was loving, caring and a great teacher! Elaine will be greatly missed. My prayers to the Reyes family

  4. My deepest condolences to Elaine’s family. She was an excellent teacher, colleague and friend. It was a blessing to have known her. She will truly be missed.

  5. To my childhood friend thank you so much for such wonderful memories. I will miss you and will carry loving thoughts of the many years we shared. Until we meet again my friend–Love, Dorothy
