jacqueline holland
Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Holland, 70, of Murrieta, CA, entered heaven on Feb. 18, 2014, after a long illness. She had a caring and loving nature and would always put others first. Her generous spirit drew people from all walks of life into hers. She was born to Harry and Inez Nixon in McCloud, Calif., on Nov. 30, 1943. Jackie graduated from Benicia High School in 1961. She was married to Richard Holland in 1965, and they lived together in Vallejo and Napa before moving to Murrieta in 1994. Jackie worked for Bank of America for more than 30 years. She loved animals of all kinds and even had a pot-bellied pig. She loved traveling, being with her family and friends, cooking, sports and gardening. She was the first certified female soccer referee in Napa. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Nixon, and her brother, James Nixon. She is survived by her mother, Inez Nixon; her husband, Richard Holland; her children, Carleen (Kalim) Sawires, Rick (Maria) Holland and Jeffrey (Clara) Holland; six grandchildren, Trevor, Nicole, Ashton, Ashley, Aiden and Dylan; and her dog, Bella. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Lung Association or the Susan G. Komen Foundation. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on March 1 at England Family Mortuary in Temecula, Calif. Scattering of her ashes in the ocean off San Diego will occur on March 2.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Carleen and family our thoughts and prayers are with you all. My all your wonderful memories of your mom be a blessing to all of you.

  2. Just remember she fell asleep here on earth and woke up in heaven. I know that she is there with Jim and Popes. I will always love and miss her.

  3. My memories of Jackie go back a long way. I first met Jackie when her parents moved next door in Benicia in the late 1940’s. There were many good memories, I spent most of my afternoons at Jackie’s house. Hours playing in the yard, pet ducks, getting in trouble with Jackie, or I think I should say, getting Jackie in trouble. When Jackie and family moved down by the water our lives got busy and we went in different directions, but we have kept in touch over the years. Jackie was my sons Godmother and my oldest daughter was named after her, down to the middle name. Jackie has always held a special place in my heart and I was fortunate to be able to spend a little time with her a couple of years ago. May Jackie rest in peace, as she and her family are in my prayers, and will remain there always.

  4. Prayers for the Holland family. Jackie was a kind soul who definitely made an impact and changed all of our lives for the better.

  5. So sorry for your loss. Jackie was one of my best friends at Benicia High. We had a lot of wonderful times.
