Jaime Pujols
January 13, 1940 ~ April 14, 2013
Jim was born in Saturce, Puerto Rico to Peter Pujols and Clotilde Rodriguez. At age 5 the family moved to New York, where Peter passed away shortly, leaving his mother with 4 children to care for. He was the third child of four: Olga, Peter, Jaime, and John. He then suffered the loss of his mother when he was 17. Another tragic loss for the family. Though life wasn't easy for him, he grew up to be a man capable of giving laughter, joy and love to all those with whom he came in contact. He married the love of his life, Carmen Lydia Anazagasty, on September 16, 1967. Jim was a great husband, always watching out that no harm would come towards her. His famous last words were always, 'Be careful that yo udon't park in a dark place,' or 'Be careful that you don't hurt yourself.' Together Jim and Carmen created a beautiful home full of love. He always treated her with respect, love and understanding. After a few years of marriage, Carmen gave birth to their son, Jaime. Two years and eight months later, Eric followed. As a father he was exemplary. He taught his sons to respect and love those around them. He was so proud of his two sons, telling them on a daily basis how much he loved them. Jim worked many jobs to support his family. He always did what had to be done and did it with a smile. Family was always at the core of his beliefs. His love for his siblings and extended family was always apparent in the way he was there for them. His unselfish nature helped him be a great husband, father, brother and friend. In 2007 Jim became a grandfather to Eric, Jr. He was a great grandpa, always having the time to listen to his grandson. He loved him with the same passion he had for his sons and always made sure Eric knew how much he meant to him. Him loved birds of prey and was a licensed falconer. He had a red tail hawk, which he called 'Banshee.' He loved and taught us all about birds of prey. He was also a watercolor artist, displaying and selling his work at art shows. His passion was mainly for landscapes, though he painted wild life and still life. He did great pen and ink art as well. He loved to write, always coming up with ideas for new stories. He had a hunger for life and was always looking for something new to tackle. Last, but not least, Him loved the Lord God with all his heart. He had previously accepted the Lord as his Savior but last year took the final step and was baptized in the name of the Lord. He share the love of Christ with all of those around him by always being willing to lend a hand. He would take the coat off his back to help someone in need. He owned a hat that read: 'GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.' He told his wife that when his time came he wanted to be buried in that hat, which he was. That hat was such a blessing. Everyone that has called to give their condolences has shared memories of him making them laugh. That was his gift. We honor Jim and celebrate his life with smiles in our hearts and faces; reflecting on the memories he made with each and everyone who knew him.
We Know you Are in Heaven because of all your good deeds. You will always live in our Hearts. We shall be reunited again. Love you Marian and Jim
