Jeffery Scott Kimes

Jeffery Scott Kimes was born on January 22, 1962 to Joe and Nancy Kimes in Westminster, CA. He was the oldest of four children, with sisters: Kristi, Keri, and Desi. On May 14, 2018 Jeffery passed away in his home in Temecula, CA with his family by his side. Never one to sit idly by, his fervor for new experiences eventually led him to the Navy where he sought knowledge and adventure and wound up cruising up and down the California seacoast, eventually dry docked in San Francisco. It was at this time Jeff became interested in computers and proceeded to take programming classes at Redland Community College. He founded and maintained a local bulletin board and went by the alias Knight. Not long after his anonymous knighthood, Jeff's friend and co-worker, Ron and his wife Debbie Chandler, introduced him to Barbara Elliot. The date was Feb. 22, 1992. Building upon the many moments of love, laughter, and friendship, Barbara and Jeffery were married on the same day 10 years later, Feb. 22, 2002 (mostly so Barbara wouldn't forget the date). Thereafter, Jeffery continued to develop his craft and landed a position with IBM as a computer Service I/T Specialist. While on assignment, he suffered a stroke and was partially paralyzed on his right side. Jefferey continually fought the odds for 16 years, until cancer eventually took his life.
