Jerold Joseph “Kip” Dorn
Jerold J. “Kip” Dorn, formerly of Kenosha, passed away
unexpectedly in his home December 20″h, 2024
Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on August 26th, 1947, the only child
of Jerold J. & Joyce C. (Urban) Dorn. Kip attended Kenosha
schools, graduating from Mary. D. Bradford in 1966.He was a
member of the Kenosha Queensman / Kingsman and Vigilante
Drum & Bugle Corps. on the drum line and went on to become a
percussion instructor. Kip relocated to California in 1971 where
he also performed and taught in West Coast Express and
Anaheim Kingsman Drum & Bugle Corps.
He married the love of his life, Jeanne R. (Benoit) Dorn in 1977,
and they resided in the home they built together in Temecula,
California where he had relocated for his longtime employer,
Temecula Valley Electrical Supply. Social and humorous, Kip
and his wife had legendary horseshoe tournaments every year
with their large friend group. He loved the Packers, grilling,
fishing and attending NASCAR races with his son. Traveling
often to Wisconsin to see his children and grandchildren. He
was a passionate Dodgers fan who was overjoyed to see them
win the World series this year. He was beloved by his close
neighbors, a second family, who faithfully visited nightly to
make him laugh and offer support after the loss of his wife on
January 15″h, 2015.
Kip willbe deeply missed by his children, son Jeffery John Dorn
(Erika) of Union Grove, Wi and his daughter Karlie Ann Dorn
(Thomas Carstensen) of Waukesha, Wi along with his 8
grandchildren: Tanner, Tori, lan, Brenden, Madeline, Jacob, Ava,
Annie and Sammie and his 6 great grandchildren
Kip is proceeded in death by his father, Jerold Dorn, mother
Joyce C. (Urban) Dorn and his wife Jeanne R. (Benoit) Dorn.
A private service was held for his children at England Family
Mortuary Services in Temecula, Ca. In lieu of flowers the family
requests donations to his children at the following address: KK
